Some of the most challenging and rewarding diving I have done was based along the coast of British Columbia and Queen Charlotte Islands, on the west coast of Canada. A series of narrow inlets channel through extremely strong tidal currents where an amazing wealth of marine life takes advantage of vast amounts of plankton. Photographing these reefs can sometimes depend on slack tides where we literally have less than 20 minutes before having to get back to the dive tenders.
