I have had the incredible chance to get involved in Antarctic expeditions. There is no doubt that the experience of boarding a military transport plane in sunny, summery Christchurch, New Zealand and landing 10 hours later on a runway made of ice at McMurdo Sound is an unforgettable feeling.
